Quality Is Everyone's Responsibility – Not Just Production's

A recent product quality issue reminded us of a critical lesson: pointing fingers doesn’t solve problems—collaboration does.

In many organizations, when quality concerns arise, it's easy to direct blame toward production. But the truth is, quality is a shared responsibility.

- QA ensures the standards are met—but only after the work is done.
- QC detects defects—but relies on upstream accuracy.
- R&D designs the product—but must consider manufacturability.
- Warehouse stores and handles materials—but quality can degrade without proper practices.
- Production executes—but can only perform as well as the inputs and systems allow.

Each department holds a piece of the puzzle. When we work in silos, we miss opportunities for real improvement. But when we collaborate, communicate, and own our roles, quality becomes a culture—not just a checkpoint.

Let’s replace blame with dialogue. Let’s trade silos for synergy. Because in the end, consistent quality is a team achievement.

حديث في جودة أحد المنتجات بدَرسٍ بالغ الأهمية: إلقاء اللوم لا يحل المشاكل – بل التعاون هو ما يحقق ذلك.

في كثير من المؤسسات، عندما تظهر مشكلات تتعلق بالجودة، يكون من السهل توجيه أصابع الاتهام نحو قسم الإنتاج. لكن الحقيقة أن الجودة مسؤولية مشتركة.

قسم ضمان الجودة (QA) يضمن الالتزام بالمعايير – ولكن فقط بعد إنجاز العمل.

قسم مراقبة الجودة (QC) يكتشف العيوب – لكنه يعتمد على دقة المراحل السابقة.

قسم البحث والتطوير (R&D) يصمم المنتج – لكنه يجب أن يأخذ في الاعتبار قابلية التصنيع.

قسم المخازن يخزن ويتعامل مع المواد – لكن الجودة قد تتدهور دون ممارسات صحيحة.

قسم الإنتاج ينفذ العمل – لكنه لا يستطيع أن يؤدي أفضل من جودة المدخلات والأنظمة الداعمة له.


كل قسم يمتلك جزءًا من الصورة الكاملة. وعندما نعمل في جزر منعزلة، نفوّت على أنفسنا فرصًا حقيقية للتحسين. لكن عندما نتعاون ونتواصل ونتحمل مسؤولياتنا، تصبح الجودة ثقافة – لا مجرد نقطة تفتيش.

فلنستبدل اللوم بالحوار. ولنبدل العزلة بالتكامل. لأن الجودة المستمرة في النهاية هي إنجاز جماعي.
